First Aid & CPR

The American Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses teach the knowledge and skills   necessary to recognize and provide basic skills for injuries, sudden illness, and breathing emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive to take over. 

If you are interested in signing up for a certification, please contact KidSpirit with your preference of days and times. Once we have a minimum of 8 children on a wait list, a class will   be formed and KidSpirit will contact you.

Babysitting

Become a certified babysitter and learn first aid, rescue breathing, and special techniques to care for kids!

The American Red Cross Babysitter Course gives the participants the knowledge, confidence, and skills to care for infants through school-aged children.

The goal is to learn how to keep children safe and have fun while learning new skills.

The Babysitter's Handbook will be included and can be a valuable on-the-job resource. The handbook has first aid action-plans with simple directions for handling emergencies, as well as many other essential techniques for babysitting.

The course covers:

• Safety issues
• First aid and life-saving skills
• Preventing illness and injuries
• Basic child care
• Decision-making skills
• Age-appropriate behavior and games

Participants will be required to demonstrate several first aid skills during the certification class.

Scout Certification for Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts

KidSpirit offers classes to both Girl and Boy Scouts so that they can earn their respective Scout badges/patches. KidSpirit Instructors are trained to teach the following courses:

• Rock Climbing
• Swimming
• BSA Lifeguard
• Lifesaving
• First Aid & Safety
• Aquanauts (Webelos)
