Corvallis Parks by Meadowlark

As the weather starts to warm up and everyone gets that itch to spend more time outside, you may find yourself wondering where you should go! Finding fun, safe places to go to get some outdoors time in with your kids can be a tricky task. Luckily, Corvallis has an exciting, diverse collection of parks you can visit! Here are our top 3, and the reasons why we love them:

Chintimini Park:

Located at the center of the city, Chintimini is a great park to spend a day at play. There is space to stretch out and run on the large grass fields, perfect for a game of Frisbee or for lunch in the sun. The park also has 4 sand Volleyball courts, 2 softball fields, and play equipment for more structured, social play.

Martin Luther King Jr. Park:

This park is one of several in Corvallis that contains an off-leash dog area for those who want to run and play with their pets. It contains a Volleyball or Badminton turf court, 2 horseshoe pits, and 2 softball fields. It also boasts paved paths, and a one-mile long dirt trail that goes over 2 small bridges, and peaks with a lovely view of the areas wildflowers.

Avery Park:

The dinosaur bones are a Corvallis staple! This park has beautiful rose gardens to wander, interesting paths, and, at 75.3 acres, is large enough that you can spread out and have a picnic without having to worry about disrupting others. It also contains plenty of shaded areas and 5 picnic shelters, giving some relief on the warmer days and offering some protection while you enjoy your play time.
