Note: If you registered your child over the phone, you will need to sign a consent form before your class/camp starts. You will see a red button that says "record consent."

What payment options are available?

You can pay with a debit or credit card online or over the phone, and payments by cash, check or card are accepted in-person at our office Langton Hall, room 125.

When are payments due?

Payment for RECREATIONAL CLASSES is due, in full, at the time of the registration.

You may change classes for no fee up to two weeks prior to the first day of your session. Any changing of classes after the two weeks will result in a $25 charge.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

You may cancel for no fee up to two weeks prior to the first day of your session. It is within two weeks of the session starting, you will be charged $25. Once classes have already begun, we do NOT offer refunds for cancelations. We do make exceptions in the case of medical or family emergencies, with a doctor’s note and/or other documentation.

What if the class is canceled?

KidSpirit reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if the minimum number of required participants per class is not met. Should a cancelation occur, KidSpirit staff will contact you about our alternative class options. If we cancel a class or move you off the wait list, you will NOT be charged a fee.

Will KidSpirit cancel classes due to weather?

When necessary, KidSpirit may cancel an activity due to weather. If this is the case, KidSpirit will leave information on a recorded message at 541.737.5437. We will contact you via email about possible make-up sessions.

What to wear / bring

What should my child wear to camp?

All campers MUST wear athletic, closed-toed shoes. Gymnastics classes require clothing free from buttons and zippers, and long hair must be tied back.

Masks and facial coverings are welcome but not required at this time. For updated information about OSU and KidSpirit Covid-19 policies, check the Health & Safety page.

What should my child bring to summer camp/ACES day?

Children should always bring a backpack, snacks, a refillable water bottle, and have on sunscreen (if necessary).

For summer camp, if your child is participating in a full-day or Lunch Care, they get a free lunch from the school district free lunch program. If they don't want that lunch, they are welcome to bring something else.

For ACES days, please pack a lunch if your child is participating in a full day.

The KidSpirit Program

KidSpirit Staff -- who are they?

The KidSpirit staff are the greatest group of people you will ever meet! Our hiring process is highly selective to ensure we find the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable high school and college students around. Each staff member attends 22 hours of intensive training, including CPR and First Aid certification. Staff consistently receive feedback and evaluations to ensure they continue their path to excellence.  All instructors use a structured lesson plan template for every activity/class.

What skills/activities are taught at KidSpirit Summer camp?

We teach developmentally appropriate sports, fitness, art, academic skills, and more. But the fun doesn't end there! As a part of our KidSpirit mission, we guide our campers along to teach them the social and emotional skills they'll need to form lifelong friendships, all while taking part in sports, arts, and science instruction.

We post our Summer Day Camp activity schedules on our website as soon as registration opens. Occasionally we do not have that information at the time of registration because we begin enrolling for our camps while we are also hiring amazing staff that bring our camps to life, and we work to align our activities to the skill sets of our staff to offer the best experience possible.

Do you require insurance forms?

We ask that everyone please share their insurance and medical information with us when you register your child. Whether you are registering by the phone or filling out the form online, please be patient with us during the medical history portion of the registration. Thirty-two medical history questions may seem like a lot but in the event of an emergency, it is important that we know as much as possible about your child so that our staff and medical responders can provide quality care. Each of the questions we ask could save your child's life.

What if my child takes medications?

All participants requiring medication during the hours they are at KidSpirit must fill out an additional form, and bring the medication in the original container to the KidSpirit office. All medications will be kept in the office and dispensed as prescribed by a doctor.

Are waiting lists available?

Yes! If your preferred group is already full, you may add your child’s name to a wait list when registering. You are not obligated to switch classes if the activity becomes available. You will be notified if your child has been moved off the wait list.

Summer Day Camp specific questions

Can I switch my camper's classes after I have already registered and paid?

Yes. However, KidSpirit charges a $25 administration fee to switch classes after registration. If there is a medical reason, the fee will be waived if a doctor’s note is provided.

How can my camper get into the same group as their friends?

For privacy reasons, we cannot share information about other participants' registrations. You may want to speak with the other child's guardian to coordinate your registrations.

If you would like to register for a certain group you may do so during registration. If you would like to change the group your child already registered for, call, email or visit the office for help.

Are there scholarships for KidSpirit Summer Day Camp?

Yes. You must apply by the scholarship deadline as listed on the Summer Camp Fees & Payments page.

My camper won't be coming to camp today. What should I do?

Please call the KidSpirit office at 541.737.5437 or email us at [email protected] to notify us of your campers absence.

My child forgot to bring lunch. What are they going to eat?

The Corvallis School District provides campers a free lunch every day of summer camp. There are vegetarian options in addition to the provided free lunch. Lunch is served from 12:00 - 12:30, and campers will be in lunch groups until 1:00.

The groups are scheduled to be outside about 50% of their time here. However, we also encourage our staff to go outside as often as possible.

Health FAQs

What specific requirements and procedures are in place at KidSpirit for COVID, compared to past years?

Check out our Health & Safety page for all of this more detailed information!

What is your policy on head lice?

KidSpirit follows Corvallis School District policies on lice (louse) and nit (eggs) in accordance with CDC reccomendations. In the case of suspected head lice, Kidspirit follows the following protocol:

  • We screen a child for head lice if they appear to have symptoms (such as tickling or itching on the scalp and hair, sores caused by scratching the head, or signs of irritable sleeping due to itching at night)
  • If lice are found, we notify the family and suggest prompt and effective treatment
  • Campers may remain at camp and our staff will limit close, head-to-head contact with other campers. (We always recommend that you encourage your child not to share hair grooming or clothing items. Our staff will do the same if they see this behavior)
  • We will notify all parents if we discover multiple cases of head lice at once, and we always encourage parents to check their child for lice
  • KidSpirit will never disclose the name(s) of the affected camper(s)
