Health & Safety Procedure

Know Before You Go

 Safety is our #1 Priority!

We are following guidelines outlined by many relevant health authorities, including the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), Center for Disease Control (CHC), Oregon Health Authority (OHA)  & the Oregon Early Learning Division (ELD)

Facial Coverings

Per OSU's policies, facial coverings are welcome but not required in all campus spaces.

Facial coverings have proven to be effective at protecting our youngest and most vulnerable community members, including students under 5 years old who are present in our gymnastics classes.

Masks are always available in the KidSpirit office (Langton Hall room 125) for anyone who wants them.

Drop-Off Health Check

We are no longer conducting COVID-related health checks at drop-off, but we continue to ask that you keep your student home if they or anyone in the household is sick (including sore throat, cold symptoms, nausea, fever, cough, etc.)

We will continue upholding best practices with our staff and working together in the interest of community health and safety.

Visiting Classes

Visitation and viewing is still prohibited in our gymnastics classes due to space restrictions, except for specific dates outlined in our viewing schedule. Check with your gymnastics instructor for viewing dates and specifications.

Staff will still be around to take pictures of your gymnast as well, so you can have an idea of what they have been working on!

Disinfection and Sanitation Procedure

For all cleaning, we will follow a three-step routine.

  1. First is general cleanup, which both campers and staff will do and follow basic tidying and cleanup.
  2. Then, sanitation which will involve our staff using cleaning supplies to clean all touch points during and after activities.
  3. Lastly (in indoor settings) will be disinfecting, which will be done using an electrostatic cleaner that is sprayed around the entire room and disinfects all areas used.  This will be used for deep cleaning, and in the case of more intensive cleanup needs.
