Want Sloppy Joes that are a little less sloppy? Try making Sloppy Joe “Calzones”!
Ingredients:
- 1lb of ground beef
- 1 can of Sloppy Joe sauce (or personal homemade sauce)
- Shredded cheese
- 1 can of Pillsbury biscuit
- Flour (for rolling out dough)
To make:
- Heat oven to 375 °F.
- On a skillet, cook the beef until done. Drain the fat. Stir in the sauce and cook for a few more minutes.
- Flour a cutting board. Roll out each biscuit until ¼- ½ an inch thick. Try to roll it into a square shape.
- Place a 1-2 large spoonfuls of beef mixture on the biscuit dough.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over beef.
- Fold over the dough to make a triangle shape and seal edges by pressing down the tines of a fork.
- Option: Sprinkle more cheese on top of dough.
- Place on nonstick or sprayed cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Cool for a few minutes.
This is a great recipe to make for kids! Take the sloppy out of Sloppy Joes!
