Sloppy Joe Calzones by Moonbeam

Ingredients:
 

  • 1lb of ground beef
  • 1 can of Sloppy Joe sauce (or personal homemade sauce)
  • Shredded cheese
  • 1 can of Pillsbury biscuit
  • Flour (for rolling out dough)

 


To make:
 

  • Heat oven to 375 °F.
  • On a skillet, cook the beef until done. Drain the fat. Stir in the sauce and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Flour a cutting board. Roll out each biscuit until ¼- ½ an inch thick. Try to roll it into a square shape.
  • Place a 1-2 large spoonfuls of beef mixture on the biscuit dough.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over beef.
  • Fold over the dough to make a triangle shape and seal edges by pressing down the tines of a fork.
  • Option: Sprinkle more cheese on top of dough.
  • Place on nonstick or sprayed cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Cool for a few minutes.

 
This is a great recipe to make for kids! Take the sloppy out of Sloppy Joes!

Makes 6-8 depending on number of biscuits
