Brazilian Acai Bowl (Acai Na Tigela)

Ingredients:

For the bowl 

  • 1 ⅓  cup frozen açaí puree, thawed slightly
  • 4 bananas 
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar 
  • 1/4 cup orange juice 

For the topping 

  • 1 cup granola
  • 2 bananas 
  • 1 cup blueberries 
  • 4 tablespoons flax seeds 
  • 4 tablespoons shredded coconut 
  • You can add other toppings if you’d like! 

Directions:

  1. Place the frozen açaí and the orange juice in a blender or food processor, along with bananas, and the sugar. Blend until smooth and thick. The mixture should have the texture of a soft sorbet that you would eat with a spoon.  
  1. Taste and add more sugar if desired you can add a bit of lime juice for extra tartness. 
  1. Place the fruit mixture in a bowl.  
  1. Slice the remaining banana arrange on top of the acai. Add blueberries, then sprinkle granola and coconut over the fruit. 
  1. Enjoy immediately!
